Inverted-T Reduction Mammoplasty

It is a traditional incision method to remove the skin, fat and mammary gland after incising from the nipple to the wrinkle under the skin in the inverse-shape. This breast reduction operation creates new shape of breast by moving the nipple upward and pulling up both skins. Since it can remove the dropped skin and sufficient amount of mammary tissue, it has high satisfaction among patients. Weakness of this method is that sense of nipple may be lost or decline when too much tissue are removed and nipples are moved far away, and that operation time is long and scar is left after operation.

Periareolar Reduction Mammoplasty

This method is used to solve the problem of scar that appears at inverted T shaped incision method. As its name shows, part of breast tissue can be incised by incising the area around areola, leaving the smallest scar. Since sufficient amount of breast tissue cannot be taken off through this incision for big breast, sufficient breast tissue cannot be taken off, and there is limit in the scope of target.
